Global Warming's sooty smokescreen revealed -Author: Fred Pearce Date published: 06-03-03 This publication is the result of a workshop in Dahlem, Berlin, where top atmospheric scientists got together, including Nobel laureate Paul Crutzen and Swedish meteorologist Bert Bolin, former chairman of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The conclusion drawn by the workshop is that aerosols emitted by human activity are protecting the planet from perhaps three-quarters of the greenhouse effect. That might sound like good news, but the panel concludes that as the cover diminishes in coming decades, we are in for a dramatic escalation of warming that could be two or even three times as great as official best guesses.
Global Warming: Fact vs. Fiction -Author: Environmental defense Date published: March 2003 Article responds to certain arguments against the need for greenhouse gas mitigation (the "myth" side of the debate) by presenting the U.N. Convention on Climate change's response to each select argument (the "fact" side of the global warming debate).
EPA-Global warming-Climate -Author: Environmental Protection Agency Date published: 2003 This report represents the EPA's position on global warming. The basic position is that:
i.) A warming trend of 1 degree F has been recognized since the late 19'th century
ii.) The heating trapping properties of greenhouse gasses are undisputed
iii.) Since the industrial revolution the composition of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere has increased as human activities played a contributing role.
Satellite pictures show greenhouse effect -Author: By United Press International Date: Thursday, March 15, 2001 Observations from satellites support a new theory that carbon dioxide and other emissions are to blame for global warming, confirming what some climate models have been implying, that Earth's "greenhouse" effect increased between 1970 and 1997.
Frequently asked global change questions -Author: The Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center This report responds to a wide variety of global warming questions consistent with greenhouse gasses theory advocates with greater technical detail than the previous link.
United Nations Environment Program - World Meteorological Organization (common questions) -Author: Joint authorship US Global Climate Change Research Information Office This report was co sponsored by the United Nations Environment Program and the World Meteorological Organization, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Global Change Research Program.

Global Warming International Center -The GWIC sponsors research supporting the understanding of global warming and its mitigation.
GAIA energy Center -The center is based on the premise that the planet is a self-regulating system whereby individual 'living and nonliving systems form an inseparable whole that is regulated and kept adapted for life by living organisms themselves. And there are no natural mechanisms to absorb anthropogenic greenhouse gases at the speed and volume at which they are released, potentially upsetting the self-regulating system.

Union of Concerned Scientists -UCS is an independent nonprofit alliance of 60,000 concerned citizens and scientists across the country
